“I must say how impressed my family and I were with the conduct of your ground staff during the internment of our mother. As we drove to the grave side I spotted on of the staff soaking wet and covered with clay and mud standing to one side. I will always remember the respectful way he stood and removed his woollen hat as my mother passed by. I went over and thanked him at the end and he replied that I was not to worry about my mother as they would treat her with respect as they replaced the soil.”

“All at Rye Bowls, would like to thank you and your company for providing us with another excellent season of happy bowling on our green, due to the efforts of your workforce. An extra thank you to Alan who really is in a class of his own, not only in his care for the green but his consideration to us as a club. “

“I would like to pass on my appreciation to your staff who were superb in preparing the grounds prior to sports day and helping set up on the day. As always, the lads transported equipment, roped off areas, then re did them as I had a change of mind. The grass cutting team arrived bright and early and had everything marked out in no time. They were all excellent – Thank you once again.”

“On behalf of the English School’s Athletic Association may I say a formal thank you for the work at the final of the ESAA’s Sainsbury’s Cross County Cup. Without the dedication and support given by you then the final would not have been as successful an event that it was. I have received a number of very complimentary comments from visiting schools and parents and this reflects the professional way in which you carried out your task.”

We held the Hertfordshire Secondary Schools’ Cross-Country Championships at Verulamium Park. I wanted to write to tell you how grateful we were for the help given to us on that day from one of the John O’Conner workers, called Per. It is not often these days that people are so helpful and show such initiative so I just wanted to write and pass on the association’s thanks.

I would like to congratulate the gardening team from John O’Conner for once more creating such a beautiful colourful floral scheme in Priory Memorial Gardens, Royston. The roundabout at the Town Hall has been, and still is, truly stunning.

Last Sunday, after the atrocious spell of snow that had fallen across Borehamwood I was debating as to whether the cemetery would be accessible to traffic, as in my part of Borehamwood the roads were still very dangerous .Having decided to dig my car out of the snow I made the journey across Town to the Cemetery. On arriving   I was completely taken back by the amount of work that your guys must have put in to clear all the roads and pathways of snow and ice, making it so easy for myself and I am sure every other person who visited the cemetery that week-end. I would like to wish  all your ground staff a big thank you not only for now, but for the work they do in keeping the grounds clean and tidy all year.

“I am writing to thank John O’Conner’s for their work on site at the University of Hertfordshire over the past years. Since you were awarded the contract you have worked well with the University and helped and advised us with ways to improve our grounds and image. The overall look of the campuses is very good, with your team being on site every day ensuring the grounds are kept in excellent order. Special jobs where we have had major landscaping have been managed well and the end results being excellent. Thank you to all your team on the University.”
